Advancement Levels
All members start the Langley Camera Club journey as a Level One photographer.
The Advancement Levels system acknowledges a member’s progress within the club by considering the member’s growth in photographic proficiency.
For each level there is a minimum score per image that needs to be attained to receive a credit for that level. Each level has specific number of credits required before advancing to the next level. The qualifying score an image receives counts towards the member’s current level AND each and every level for which it qualifies.
Credits earned for the additional qualifying levels are “banked” and then applied when the member advances to that higher Level.
EXAMPLE:
The Level 1 member achieving a score of “25” will receive a credit for LEVEL 1 and “bank” a credit for Levels 2-5. These ”banked” credits are held and applied toward each higher level only when the member advances to that higher Level.
Level | Min Score for Credit | Credits to Advance |
One | 18 | 5 |
Two | 20 | 10 |
Three | 22 | 15 |
Four | 24 | 15 |
Five | 25 | 15 |
Six | 26 | 15 |
Seven | 27 | 15 |
Eight | 28 | 15 |
Nine | 29 | 20 |
Ten | 30 | N/A |
As a member advances to a new level they will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement. When a member advances to Level 10, they will receive a CAPA Excellence Medal.
These stats are provided monthly to each member via email.
When a member leaves the Club (does not pay dues) for two full Club years, the credits in the last level achieved and all banked credits are forfeited. Should the member re-join the LCC in the future they will be enrolled at their last established level.
